shemot dvar

In Shemot, Pharaoh has enslaved the Jews and orders  Shifrah and Puah to have all the male babies killed at birth. They do not comply. Pharaoh decides that now all the Hebrew babies shall be thrown into the Nile.
At the same time, Moses is born and put in a basket in the river, to then be discovered by the Pharaoh's daughter (who raises him).
When Moses is older he sees the hardship in Egypt. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew and killed the Egyptian. Moses must flee, he goes to Midian. In Midian, Moses saves Jethro’s daughter, marries another one, and becomes a Shepherd for Jethro.

Moses comes upon the burning bush, which instructs him to demand Pharoah to let his people go. Pharaoh refuses and makes conditions even worse for them. Moses doesn’t understand why Hashem made him do this, but Hashem says redemption is close.

december IA update

Hey Natick USY! Time for the December Israel update!

Recently, an Israeli machine that can pull water out of the air was sent to northern California to provide drinking water to police and firefighters battling the wildfires there. For a state that has been so devastated by wildfires, this technology can dramatically help mitigate the effects by ensuring clean water for those effected and those fighting it. This technology was created by an Israeli company called Watergen USA and can produce up to 156 GALLONS of water PER DAY! Watergen is dedicated to providing clean drinking water to those who need it around the globe, and these types of technologies can go a long way towards achieving that!
